About Austinables Welcome to Austin, Texas. We've all heard Austin is weird. But it's also zenful, creative, down-to-earth, practical and inspiring. And so are the goods that are made here, by people who value nature, art and above all: family.
How do we choose our products? Each product was "born" in Austin, which means it was created by someone in the Austin area. Most products are still handmade here by the artist, and some even use Texas-grown materials, too. The products we choose need to be high quality, with a proven track-record for durability and value. And they need to meet two out of three of our highly scientific criteria: they are cute, unique and practical. Customer Service Payments and the checkout process We now only accept payment through PayPal. It's a convenient, secure way to pay for your Austinables purchases using a major credit card or even your bank account. When you're ready to make a purchase, simply click on "Checkout" and follow the directions. If you were a previous customer of our original site but new to this version, you'll need to sign up as a new customer. You'll then be taken to PayPal's site to complete your purchase. It's a good idea to print your receipt when finished. If you experience any problems with the checkout process, contact PayPal directly. Forgot your password? Austinables uses your PayPal password to log you in. However, for security reasons, we do not have your password on file. If you are a returning customer and have forgotten your password, please contact PayPal to reset it. Cancelling your order If your order has not been processed yet, you may cancel it through PayPal. Follow the instructions that you recieve at the time of purchase. If the order has already been processed, you'll need to email us for return or reimbursement information. Shipping Shipping costs are based on the amount of purchase and location to which the items will be sent. During checkout, you'll have the option of choosing which shipping method best fits your needs. There is no in-store pickup option at this time. Returns and exchanges If your order does not meet your expectations, we will gladly accept most returns or exchanges within sixty (60) days of purchase. The merchandise must be not be soiled, worn or washed. Email us for arrangements. Coupons and gift cards Our original site had the capability of processing coupons and gift cards, but this new version does not have that capability at this time. If you have a promotional code that you would like to use for a current purchase, please email us for arrangements. Your information may be shared only among Austinables, website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. Third party links In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).
